Dance/Movement Therapy & Counseling
All classes are held at Kinections at Imagine Square, 718 University Avenue, Rochester, New York, 14607, USA unless otherwise indicated. Student and practicing health professionals, educators, and others are welcome. Some courses require pre-requisites.

ALTERNATE ROUTE STUDENTS PURSUING THE R-DMT LEVEL OF CERTIFICATION MUST TAKE COURSES THAT ARE A MINIMUM OF 15 HOURS. All courses prepared and taught in accordance with the guidelines of the American Dance Therapy Association.

Kinections provides clinical, educational, and creative services in dance/movement therapy and counseling to people struggling with eating disorders, depression and other mood disorders, creative blocks, relationship problems and negative responses to stress.

The Marian Chace Approach to Dance/Movement Therapy ~ August 1-6 (2-6 p.m.)
(1 credit; 24 hours)
Instructor: Elissa White, BC-DMT, LCAT

"If you can come, make this class a priority. Elissa is one of the leading authorities in the world on the Chace method. If anyone can help you develop the skills it requires, it is Elissa. She will disperse many of the myths that accompany this approach." (Dr. Fraenkel, 2015) The course gives 24 hours credit towards Group Processes in DMT & Continuing Education. You can get the rest of Group Processes credits by taking Group Processes in LivingDance (Offered in Corfu, Greece, July 2-16, 2016 or at Kinections in 2017.

An Experiential and Theoretical Introduction to the Kestenberg Movement Profile

No pre-requisite. You do not have to have taken LMA to take KMP.
