This circle gathers regularly to improvise fresh new body-based music. Jeff will show how the principles of LivingDance, extended into music-making, help you create surprising sounds that connect from deep within.
If you like to drum, bring your drum. We’ll make a drum circle.
(If you don’t have a drum dont worry, we have some to share.)
When we want to add melody to the rhythms, there will be available chimes, tongue drums, and bamboo flutes. We have a Yamaha S-80 keyboard that all are welcome to take for a spin as well.
Bring your own instruments to make our music unique to the week.

About Jeff Mehr
Jeff has been developing LivingMusic - based on Dr. Fraenkel’s theories of LivingDance - since 1998, and is also a Leader in the Musicianship and Leadership Program of Music for People (musicforpeople.org). He firmly believes that there are no wrong notes, listening is the most important musical skill, and silence and stillness are the mothers of all music.
Last year Jeff travelled with Dr. Fraenkel to Pune, India, to support her work helping to establish a certificate program in dance/movement therapy at Sancheti Medical Institute.
As the students explored LivingMusic, they discovered that each was a pianist, each was a drummer - even though they may have never played either instrument before!
