Weekly group will resume TBA—Watch This Space!

Quotations below from three seniors who have graduated from our group.

loved coming here and will be very sad to leave…. Your tricks for finding shape, staying confident, procrastinating, and being brave will always be with me. …so glad I could be a part of this wonderful group …helped me grow into the person I want to be …being able to talk about difficult subjects that I might not have talked about at home has been very helpful. I will miss you and the other girls tremendously.
…given me so many tools for when I am stuck …made so many meaningful relationships …. improved me as a person….had so much fun… am going to miss this special bond so much.

The girls will be working with natural elements of dance and movement that we all have access to — breath, pulse, muscle connectivity and shape*.
No dance or music training or talent required  — just a willingness to try new ways of grappling with

Loneliness

Social anxiety

When I first came to you, I was a very different person. I could hardly talk to you I was so scared. I could hardly talk to other people and I had close to 0 friends because I didn’t have the confidence to even be the first person to say hello. Thanks to my sessions with you, I now have friends and connections with people because I have my shape and more confidence in myself. Thank you for giving me a space ... where I could be myself and not have to worry about being judged, and also for the opportunity to be part of a group of really awesome girls. … thank you for the gift of dancing freely. It’s a gift that will never lose meaning because its (sic) one I am given again every time I dance.
